Dynamic QR Codes
Generate and download crisp vector QR codes for physical marketing, event passes, and merchandise.
Dynamic QR Code Generator
Every shortened link created in GoLink automatically has an associated Dynamic QR Code. Because the QR code points to your short link, you can change the final destination URL at any time without reprinting physical materials!
Why Dynamic QR Codes?
With standard static QR codes, the destination web address is baked directly into the printed pattern. If the URL breaks, changes, or expires, your physical print runs (brochures, billboards, packaging) become useless.
With GoLink's dynamic QR codes:
- Editable Destination: Change where the QR code leads without changing the code itself.
- Scan Tracking: Every scan is recorded with geo, device, and referrer insights.
- Always Scannable: High-contrast, error-tolerant matrix generation.
Export Formats
From the GoLink Console, you can download your QR codes in two formats:
| Format | Best For | Advantages |
|---|---|---|
| SVG | Print media, billboards, signage | Infinitely scalable vector graphics without pixelation or loss of crispness. |
| PNG | Slides, web pages, social media, emails | High-resolution raster image with transparent background support. |
Best Practices for Printing
When printing QR codes on physical goods:
- Size: Ensure the printed QR code is at least 2 x 2 cm (0.8 x 0.8 inches) for standard mobile scanners.
- Contrast: Always maintain high contrast between the foreground blocks and background. Dark code on a light background works most reliably.
- Quiet Zone: Keep a clear margin around the QR code of at least 4 module widths so smartphone cameras can detect the border.
Pro Tip: Short link slugs create simpler, less dense QR code matrix patterns, making them faster and easier to scan from far away or at an angle.
