Custom Domains
Connect your branded domain or subdomain to create professional vanity short links with verified team setup.
Custom Branded Domains
Branded links (e.g., go.yourcompany.com/deck or ac.me/winter) reinforce your company's identity, increase click-through rates by up to 34%, and instill trust in your audience.
With GoLink, you can attach any custom domain or subdomain to your organization.
Supported Domain Formats
You can connect both subdomains and apex (root) domains:
- Subdomains (Recommended):
go.yourbrand.com,link.yourbrand.com,links.acme.org - Root / Apex Domains:
yourbrand.link,short.me
We recommend using a dedicated subdomain like go.yourdomain.com so your primary website and email MX records remain unaffected.
Step 1: Add Domain in Dashboard
- Open your organization dashboard in the GoLink Console.
- In the navigation sidebar, click Custom Domains.
- Click Add Domain.
- Enter your custom hostname (e.g.
go.example.com). - Save the domain entry.
Step 2: Configure DNS Records
Go to your DNS provider (e.g., Cloudflare, AWS Route 53, Namecheap, GoDaddy) and add the appropriate DNS record:
For Subdomains (go.example.com)
| Type | Name / Host | Target / Value | TTL |
|---|---|---|---|
| CNAME | go | cname.golink.buzz | Auto (or 300) |
For Apex Domains (example.com)
| Type | Name / Host | Target / Value | TTL |
|---|---|---|---|
| A | @ | 76.76.21.21 | Auto (or 300) |
If using Cloudflare, set Proxy status to DNS Only (Gray Cloud) during initial setup.
Step 3: Contact Us for Verification
To maintain security, prevent unauthorized domain spoofing, and guarantee dedicated SSL certificate issuance, all custom domains require direct verification with the GoLink team.
Once you have added the DNS records, contact our team at contact@golink.buzz with your:
- Organization Name & Slug
- Custom Domain (e.g.,
go.yourcompany.com)
What Happens During Verification?
- Our engineering team checks authoritative DNS propagation for your record.
- We provision a dedicated TLS/SSL certificate for your hostname.
- We mark your domain as Verified in your organization's console.
- Your custom domain is immediately active and ready to serve short links.
Setting a Primary Domain
If you have multiple domains connected to your organization, you can designate one as the Primary Domain.
When creating new links, the primary domain will automatically be selected by default, saving time for team members.
